My adventure as a shepherd began in 2005. Both ewes and rams are polled have no horns and are non aggressive by nature. Our breeding sheep are registered with the north american babydoll southdown sheep association and registry nabssar which is dedicated to the continuation of this heritage breed. Our farm is located in southwest missouri and is home to a flock of olde english babydoll southdown sheep.

Adult babydoll southdown sheep are 17 to 24 at the shoulder. Miniature sheep mate from august to december. Male sheep are called rams. Their height from shoulders to the ground measures less than 24 and their adult weight averages 70 150 pounds.

This makes them much easier to handle than many other farm animals. Their short legs along with their small size allows them the ability to do well in small areas. We sell our registered ewe and ram lambs for 500 each and our wether lambs for 250 each.

For such a long name they are actually quite short. Miniature sheep are ruminants and have four chambered stomachs. Our 2020 lambs are all sold. It takes a female sheep five months to have a baby lamb.
