The objective of the project is to prepare a machine which cuts sheet metal without human efforts but operates pneumatically. The piston is connected to the moving cutting tool. The table also includes the two way directional valve. It is used to cut the small size of the sheet metal.

The idea of the project generated due to a manual sheet metal sheering machine in workshop of our college. Since two operations that is cutting and punching can be performed on the same platform it significantly reduces the production time. Project on pneumatic sheet metal cutting machine the pneumatic machine includes a table with support arms to hold the sheet stops or guides to secure the sheet upper and lower straight edge blades a gauging device to precisely position the sheet. Pneumatic sheet metal cutting and punching machine is advantageous as it can be afforded by small scale industries.

The sheet metal cutting machine works with the help of pneumatic double acting cylinder. Since two operations that is cutting and punching can be performed on the same platform it significantly reduces the production time.
